Ohio College Credit Plus (CCP)

College Credit Plus lets Ohio students in grades 7-12 take real college courses and earn college and high school credit at the same time.
A big money-saver. For public-school students, CCP courses at Ohio public colleges cost families nothing - no tuition, no fees, and no textbooks. With up to 30 funded credit hours a year and credits that transfer across Ohio public universities, a student can start college already carrying real credit and cut what a family pays for an Ohio public degree.

The rules, in brief
- Open to Ohio students in grades 7-12: public, private, and home-schooled.
- Students apply to and must be admitted by a participating college and meet a college-ready (remediation-free) standard.
- Public-school students pay nothing at Ohio public colleges; private-school and home-school families apply through the state Funding Application.
- Up to 30 college credit hours are funded per school year, reduced when high-school-only courses are taken.
- A student may participate only one year as a 12th grader.
- Public-school students declare intent to their school by April 1 for the full year (November 1 for a spring-only start).
- For 2026-2027, the private and home-school Funding Application window runs February 1 to April 1, closing April 1, 2026.
